TINUBU’S  CONTRIBUTION TO BUHARI’S PRESIDENCY UNEQUALLED

The Osun state chapter of the All Progressive Congress has said the contribution of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju  Bola  Tinubu, to the emergence of president Muhammadu Buhari is Unequalled.

Congratulating  Tinubu on his 64^th birthday the osun state chapter of the APC  said the former Lagos state governor committed  his time,energy and resources to the emergence of Buhari as president.

A statement by the party’s director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, kunle oyatomi, on Tuesday ,said that the victory occasioned by Tinubu’s support was  unparrelled in the history of the country.

The statement said ‘’But for the strategic master stroke of Tinubu’s effort and political influence, a sitting federal government would never be removed through a free and fair election’’.

‘’his contribution in making Muhammadu Buhari president today is unparralled in the history of political alliances in Nigeria’’.

Seven Years To Study Medicine, Says NUC

 Medical students are required to do seven years in the universities and not 11 as erroneously reported in some news media recently.

The National Universities commission (NUC) made the clarification during interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, on Monday .

The director, quality Assurance of the commission, professor Chinedu  Mafiana, told NAN on telephone that every student in medical science must have a first degree in anatomy ,physiology, and medical biochemistry.

“Another basic requisite is that there must be clinical skill laboratory, whereby in teaching, students would use mannequins, dolls, to simulate disease”.

The student will then use the mannequins to practice rather than using human beings.

This will also assist the students to mature psychologically for the profession;  Mafiana added

 NAN recalls some newspapers had quoted Executive secretary of NUC , Prof Julius Okojie, As saying student wishing to study medicine would hence forth spend years 11 in the university.
